I’m writing to tell you about the impact that one of your Big Questions has had in our school…

The question was: Should more be done to help rescue pets?

We are a Church school, and have a very proactive Ethos Group of children.  At the end of the week, one of our Year 2 children came to me and said “I’ve been thinking about this week’s big question and you know how we’ve just had a Harvest collection for people, I think that we should have a Harvest collect for the animals in rescue centres”.

The Ethos Group loved the idea and ran with it: creating posters, researching local animal rescue centres etc.

We have just been (with the Ethos Group and child whose idea it was) to deliver all of the donations to the animal rescue centre.

I just thought that you’d like to know what a physical impact using Picture News has had within school and our wider community.
