Picture News and ICSS Sponsorship

We are delighted and very proud to announce our sponsorship with the fantastic ICSS charity. ICSS run two supplementary schools in Newham and Tower Hamlets, London. The schools are open to children of all backgrounds and faiths and entirely run by unpaid volunteers. We will be providing our weekly posters and teaching resources to support the brilliant volunteers and provide stimulus and ideas for them to discuss current affairs with the children in their care.

The aim at ICSS is to include everyone to be part of the local community and society. In recent years they have evolved to not only provide free education and tutoring, but also mentoring to children of refugees and families of domestic violence. Today, they also provide support and encouragement to these families, as well as food donations and opportunities to visit places in London they may not normally have access to for financial reasons.

The organisation are committed to helping all who come through their doors. Their ultimate aim and hope is that future generations who establish themselves in society will not only excel but also feel compelled to help and contribute in the same way they were helped, with dignity and anonymity.
